National Day of Service
Check out the link for all the details, but basically Michelle Obama is calling for members of communities to get together and make a difference on Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 19th.
So the question, I propose to you-BGSU student, is what are you going to do to make a difference? No, I don't mean, you're going to switch from Natty Light to Bud Light for the day. Something a little more profound than that. Are you going to gather your dorm floor together to go to one of the events happening on campus, get together with your Fraternity or Sorority and plan a fundraiser, or gather your student org to do some good??
Just because you have the "day off" from class doesn't mean you should just sit and veg out all day. Trust me, at first it may seem more of an annoyance to do some good, but you'll feel much better about yourself after you do.
If anyone started a Facebook group we should know about, or has actual concrete plans let us know!!

Welllllllllllllllcome Back!
Happy New Year and Welcome Back!!
As Falcon Focus continues to grow and reach more and more readers in the BGSU community, I want to remind everyone that we run primarily on your (students, faculty, alumni and community members) feedback and suggestions.
Since launching back in October, highlighting SICSIC to our latest January issue, highlighting Scott we've been committed to spotlighting the great things happening in BG. From campus news and people, to surrounding community events and entertainment, Falcon Focus is geared toward helping YOU, the BGSU student.
2009 is sure to be a great one, but we need your help to assure that we're doing the best we can. I can't stress enough how important your feedback and suggestions are. So, from all of us here at Falcon Focus, we look forward to hearing from you and to a great year...enjoy!
